Merci pour votre e-mail et je suis désolée pour le retard de ma réponse.  Je considère cette question très important et j’ai voulu attendre jusqu’à ce que je eu le temps d’écrire une réponse plein en français.

En début, je voudrais dire que je suis accablé par le niveau de compliments et support pour Michel.  Je pensais toujours que Michel travail été très bon, mais je ne sais pas que l’industrie en France a tel profond respect.

C’est très malheureux que nous (Dolby) ont eu à prendre cette mesure.  C’est avec un profond regret qu’en ce moment avec le travail diminué, que nous ne pouvons pas avoir trois ingénieurs en France et Belgique.

Cependant, ma première priorité est à supporter l’industrie de la post-production en Europe.  J’espère que Dominique et Francis feront ça bien, et j’espère vraiment quand il y a plus du travail, Michel considérera un poste encore avec Dolby encore.

Je souhaite sincèrement ma réponse contribue à expliquer la décision que nous avons fait.  Aussi que je suis conscient de la valeur de Michel et que je (et Dolby) apprécie vraiment la position et le travail que nous faisons en France et Belgique. Si il y a quelque chose de plus Dominique, Francis ou je peux faire s’il vous plaît ne pas hésiter me contacter.

Thank you for your email and I must first apologies for the lateness of my reply.  Please be assured it is more related to how serious I take this issue rather than a lack of attention.

I must first state I have been overwhelmed by the level of compliments and support for Michel.  I have always held his work in high regard, but I was not completely aware of depth of appreciation across the French post production industry.

It is very unfortunate we (Dolby) have had to take this step.  It is with deep regret that at this current point of diminished workload, that we cannot keep three engineers running at the same time and we have had to make this announcement.

However, my first priority is to ensure that Dolby fully supports the post production industry across Europe and when we are fortunate enough to have a film that wants to use our technologies, we are available to do so.  With this in mind, please be reassured that we are totally and 100% committed to your studio and clients.  I sincerely hope that Dominique Schmit and Francis Perreard can fill the work Michel has been doing.  Furthermore, I hope and expect that as Atmos production increase we can offer Michel to represent the company again in the future, should he be kind enough to consider it.

I sincerely hope my reply helps explain the decision we have made and give some reassurance that I am very aware of the value of Michel and that I (and Dolby) truly appreciate the position and work we do in France and Belgium.  If there is anything more Dominique, Francis or I can do please do not hesitate to get in touch.
